CLASS 2

Welcome back to the new school year!

This half term we have lots of exciting topics to learn about.  In Science we will be working on a big electricity project.  This will show us how we light up our homes and power lots of everyday objects like televisions, lamps and even the computers that you are using now!  Learning how to use electricity safely is also part of our lessons.  We will be making our own electric circuits so please come and see our finished models!  While you are waiting for the masterpiece why don't you have a go at the online quiz?

Our Religious Education (RE) topic is going to be really interesting this term.  We will be learning about different festivals across the world like Harvest, Yom Kippur, Eid and Diwali.  These are just a selection and there are more to learn about. 

Our main topic for Geography is the United Kingdom and world climates.  We had fun making our own maps of the UK and learning about the different countries that make it up.   Soon we will be learning about the weather in the UK and all over the world and how it is different everywhere you go.  We will even be writing our own weather forecasts!

ICT will be exciting this term as we will be learning new word processing skills and how to edit and change what we have typed.  Most of us already know how to use a computer, but soon we will be able to design the layout of our own work.  How exciting!
